APRCET-2019:
Andhra University is going to conduct AP RCET 2019 which is an entrance
for Admissions to the Ph.D. and MPhil programs in all the universities
of the State, through Andhra Pradesh university-level AP RCET (Andhra
Pradesh Research Common Entrance Test) on behalf of Andhra Pradesh
State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). This year, APSCHE decided
to conduct ‘a common research entrance test’ for all the state
varsities instead of separate Entrances like AURCET, ANURCET etc.

Eligibility for AP RCET 2019
To get eligible in AP RCET candidates are required to meet the following criteria:- Applicants for all the M.Phill and P.hD courses are required to pass graduation equivalent examination from any recognized educational boards.
- Candidates of the Foreign nation are also eligible but are required to satisfy the terms recognition and equivalence standards notified by Association of Indian Universities.
Age Limit in AP RCET 2019
Candidates who are applying for this entrance examination should be more than 21 years of age but should not exceed 35 years.AP RCET-2019 Exams Pattern
- Common Entrance test (APRCET-2019) for admission into M. Phil & Ph.D programmes in various Science, Arts, Law, Pharmacy and Engineering Basic Sciences and humanities in Engineering will be conducted by the Directorate of Admissions in VISAKHAPATNAM only.
- Test codes, names of the departments, M.Phil / Ph.D programmes offered and the respective eligibility criteria are given in Annexure of the AURCET-2019 Information Brochure.
- APRCET-2019 for each subject / department consists of one paper with multiple choice objective type questions including oral examination.
- This Paper contains 180 questions: 90 Questions for Teaching and Research Aptitude and 90 Questions for concerned subject.There would be 1/6 negative mark for each wrong answer.
- After the written examination there is an oral examination for 10 marks will be conducted in Departments by the concerned DRC.
- The minimum qualifying marks in APRCET-2019 is 45% for /PHC category students and 50 % for others
- Based on the number of seats available and the number of applications received, the
University reserves the right to conduct or not to conduct the test.
